I have been using Adobe Audition (formerly Cool Edit) for recording and editing. I have become decently efficient at using it, and it gets done pretty much everything I need it to.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but it doesn't really fit anywhere 100%.

I have a DM5 ...recording with an Ensonic ESQ1 (yeah I know - Ancient!) After putting together patches in a song, when the song gets to a new patch, the DM5 triggers to another drumset. anyone got any ideas? Can't use this thing if it gonna act like this.

Has anyone tried the Wizooverb W2 reverb plugin ?

They dont provide a working demo, only audio files. Still, it sounds pretty good for a software reverb.

I'm sick of using Waves Trueverb but havent found anything that can deliver comparably decent reverb to CPU overhead.

Can anyone recommend a good amp to power pair of new Tannoy Reveal 8?
Someone said that the amp taht's good for NS10s will be a good mach for Tannoy Reveals as well. Is that true?

P.S. I can spend up to $600 for an amp.

So I did an A/B through my cans of 24/96 and then 16/44.1. The difference made me wish we weren't still using that 20 year old standard on our CD players. Yoiks! I had no idea.

The question is, do we actually get a better recording by inputting it at 24/96 and then dithering down, or are we fooling ourselves and we should just record it on 16/44.1.

Hey RO'ers, does anyone know where I can find some good web tutorials on using the adapted version of Reason? I am unable to upgrade at this time and have been working with this stuff for the past five months now and just need to find some tutorials to get a better understanding of the program. I'm trying to decide on SD or LD for drum overheads. My room is pretty dry, lots of Auralex. Should that make a difference in my selection?

Can I still close mic AND use large overheads?
