M-Audio Delta 1010LT Jumper Settings
Forums
I ordered the mentioned sound card recently (due to come in any day now!) and have been reading the manual to keep me busy until it comes. I purchased the sound card to receive my condensers (MXL 990/991 Set) and serve as an A/D device. The condensers require phantom power (obviously!), so I purchased a phantom power device (ARTcessories Phantom II) to power the mics.

dessicate silica gel packs...
Forums
I had the bright idea to use those little packets that keep the moisture out of new shoes...in my mic cases. I don't have very many, as I rarely buy shoes, so how long will they keep absorbing? That piece of bread in the brown sugar keeps losing its oomph, and I would assume the same will happen eventually with these little packets of wonder.

Recording a Rock Choir?
Forums
I want to record a choir for a song I've put together. It's the choir is in the background in some of it. How to I record them? I can't have the song playing through speakers because of the bleed, and I can't afford to have headphones for every choirmember. Please give me some advice, I'd really appreciate it.

Summing Devices
Forums
I am interested in getting a summing box as I want to send mulitple sends from my DAW. I don't want to mix in the box but I don't really want to get a mixer, namely for reasons of space and obsolete functions. Unfortunately summing boxes are so expensive.

Motherboard worries unfounded?
Forums
I plan to buy a new 939/nforce3 board (DFI, Giga, or MSI).
A couple of hours of surfing now has me paranoid.
Many problems/issues reported of all mobos.
However all the problems were from overclocking, i.e. getting the memory timings "just right".

Anyone use Beat Quantizer by Zero-X ?
Forums
Hey All,
Got a tip on this for quantizing audio drum tracks (in apps other than PT, I use Sonar). It's capable of quantizing multiple tracks simultaneously (your mileage may vary), supposed to be comparable to Beat Detective for tightening up drum tracks. I just downloaded the demo, haven't messed with it yet. Looking for feedback from actual users. Anyone wanting a peek, go to:

Hey guys!
If you're not already familiar with this site, it's an awesome one to keep bookmarked. It has more vacancies posted than International Musician!
BTW, there was a great (depending on view point) article posted in their forums that I just felt the need to reply to. Feel free to check it out.

SATA vs. . PATA for main OS/Apps Drive
Forums
Is anyone still seeing issues with SATA as the OS drive. My old Asus P4P800S (848P + ICH5) didn't like to see a SATA as the OS drive. My DFI's (NF3 250) have no such issues.
