What is the best way to record an acoustic guitarist who is singing and playing at the same time? I have an Royer R-121, SM81, RODE NT2, AKC C1000S, Audio-Technica 3035 and some dynamic mics

How do they compare.

I'm assumeing that they would be a lot better then the stock converters in an 002..

Am i right ?
and how do they rate compare to the real top end stuff?
I read an article where they compared it to an Apogee 8000.

Don't know how much (worth the cost?) up a step this would be. Please advise from 1 - 10. Where am I now and where would a Seb be?

Has anyone else close miked a tom and heard an insane rattle, but the rattle wasn't in the OH's? I just bought D2's and noticed it today.

I recently tried to do some reamping by using a passive DI box. I was told on another forum to run the -10 output of my soundcard to the XLR output of the DI box. Then, run the 1/4" input of the DI box to the guitar head input. I tried this and although I don't seem to get any noise when the guitar runs through the amp, as soon as I arm a track to record, it squeals uncontrollably.

I think most of the problem is that I'm new to all of this...

I have thus far been unable to get a multitrack recording off of Cubase LE & saved to Data DVD or even to my portable hard drive so that I can have a professional master my recording. Cubase LE seems to only want to allow me to export an audio mixdown, which is putting all of the tracks to one mono track.

I'm in the market for new monitors... I'd like to get powered monitors this time around. I currently use Event 20/20 passives with an Alesis RA150 poweramp.

The Events have pretty flat bass response... i know that is generally desirable, but I'm doing dance music and I'm finding that when I bounce down out of Pro Tools my subs are out of control.

We just got the M-Audio Audiophile 2496 and are having problems with simultaneous record and playback. It just ain't happenin'. We're using Cool Edit Pro and Magix. We had no problems like this with our previous sound card.
