I'm looking to ameliorate my audio-chain.
Especially looking for a mixer ( digital or analog ).
Here's what I'm looking for : in order of importance
1 ) Sonic quality ( great preamps and EQ )
2 ) Recall
3 ) 32 channels minimum
4 ) dynamics
Right now I own a Yamaha O2/R ( 2 in cascade ).

Hi all
I'm wondering about Buzz Audio stereo mic preamps. The difference in price between the more expensive models and cheaper ones apears to be much larger now than it was.

I'd love to know if anyone here uses these, and if the difference between the two types is very large.

OK! I know are a million answers to this question and the right one is "listen to what your ears tell you". So I guess I am just trying to reassure my ears they are right!

The reviews on it at Harmony Central are all very high, but I take them with a grain of salt.

You can't seem to get this thing used, or I might try it out... anyone have any experience with it? It seems to be the top of the line MXL. I'm going to be using it primarily for male vocals.

I've been considering the purchase of a UPS for my 'critical' equipment. Just enough power to prevent losing precious data. I'm not worried about outboard equipment, just my DAW.

I'm looking at the Daking 1112 console. Anyone used it or heard any opinions about it ? This console seems to be exactly what I need, Class A, all discrete and transformer balanced with good eq but it's still compact. Any input greatly appreciated.

Either I live in a hole and didn't know this or its a new product, but I just saw a compressor made by BBE on musiciansfriend.com I have a love/hate relationship with BBE Sonic Maximizers and I'm curious to know if their compressor is nice? Anyone have experience with it?

I have an M-Audio 1814 but do have the opportunity to upgrade to an RME Fireface 800. Any thoughts on this? In the past I've had PCI cards from M-Audio and RME and liked the RME's (DIGI96/8 PST) analog outputs much better, though it looks like the 1814 has improved from older products. I'm really interested in the quality of the converters on the RME.
