hi i'm new to this site. actually this is my frist post. i have a Tascam us-122 soundcard that i've been using, but i need more inputs now. i've been getting better and i'm able to record full bands now. i'm looking to buy something that can record 8 tracks at a time. what should i go for. i've been looking at the m-audio 1814, and also the delta 1010.

I get hum coming to my console when I turn on my MOTU interfaces. Everything is grounded. Could it be that I use some unbalanced cables? Should I use all balanced?

Can anyone give me any tips on getting a more "70's sound" on my home recordings. I'm doing a track for tv that needs to sound like an Abba type recording. I'm using a combination of 70's loops for drums(w/ no reverb), sounds from my Motif synth, and various sampled sounds through my Halion all into my MOTU 828/Powerbook.

limited space and gear but my attemps have proved decent just looking for optimization and suggestions for better sound with what i have thanks

I bought an Epson Stylus Photo R300 printer and bought CD-R printable CD's. And also the CD's (VerbatI'm - 50 pack) have a little logo in the middle where I can not print.

I've just baught a MSR-24 from Tascam. I connect through a patchbay in the inserts of my mixing desk. The problem is that the MSR is only -10 dB...

Do you guys know any rack gear that would convert those 24 -10 dB to +4 dB ?
