But those toms, those damned toms! it always sounds unreal. any tricks? many thnx!

Best Convolution IRs available

Hi,
can anyone tell me of the best IRs available to date? I have altiverb 4 which has awsome IRs but want to convert most of my work to use the built in SpaceDesigner in Logic Pro 6.4.3. The thinking behind this is because I want to make use of the new Node feature in logic Pro 7.
Can you provide me with any URLs where I can auditon the IRs?

regards

Uzo

Info on how infamous albums were recorded

Kinda like the guy that ws asking aobut the Micing on Miles Davis' album, I'm wondering if there is any books or websites that talk about the intimate recording details of how some of our more famous recordings were done, and/or how recording engineers have handled certian situations in the studios?

My recorder has STEREO/AUX out, and MONITOR out... help!

sorry, i'm fairly new to all this.

i use headphones while i'm doing all my tracking, and i can get everything to sound good to my ear through them

however, i don't have monitor speakers. i just have my big stereo system that i usually hook up L/R rca speaker cables to, just to check that my mix will sound fairly decent on CD...
