Cables With One Ferrite
Forums
If a cable has only one ferrite, does it matter which end it's on?
Specifically, I'm referring to a FireWire cable connecting a computer and audio interface.
Theoretically, it would apply to any cable.

002 rack floor noise
Forums
I have a annoying hum in my set up.( a bit like if I put my hand on a live guitar jack humm )
If I turn my headphones level on the 002 rack over half way it is there, and at full it is annoying.
I also have it on my krk5 monitors (which I have set on full volume),even if the mute button is on.

Takes on a different level!
Forums
Hello everyone I need advice on what could be the problem. When recording vocals they seem to get lower. Each take is lower then the one before. It just keeps decreasing. The wave form goes from normal to just a line. They are rap vocals by the way. If anyone could it would be much appreciated.

Clipping guitar pedal loses mojo when volume lowered
Forums
So.. I'm recording some guitar and one side of the channel clips or the waveform periodically looks like a solid block, but when the volume is lowered or attenuated in any way, the pedal being used by the guitar totally loses it's 'mojo'. WTF?
Any ideas on how to cure clipping in a situation like this? I've tried several different things and nothing has helped yet..
