i'm trying to figure out how to play the keys on my roland 307 so that they will record in a sequence on my MPC2000XL. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. I was able to do so with the Triton but i'm having trouble doing it with my roland for God (and you) only knows why! Please help.

Hi! Can somebody please shed a a lot of light on how to proberly midi up my MPC and Roland MC307. What i am tryin' to do is play the keys on the 307 and have them record into the sequence of my MPC. I've recently learned that i needed a mixer to do this (duh) and was successful at doing it with my friends Triton.

Im a Cubase SX user with a SB live card on my comp. I was able to borrow a vocal and condenser mic from a friend of mine. I have a cord and an add on that will enable me to connect the condeser and the vocal mic to my computer for a recording session. Will this work or will i fry something?.

I know that the RNC compressor from FMC has a huge (almost) cult following, and is considered "the steal" of the industry.

I know it's basic, but I need to know:

Will an Audiophile 2496 or Echo MIA interface card serve as the sole sound card for all my computing uses, or will I still require an additional standard card for game sounds, video sound, and basic sound requirements?

I'd rather not add a standard card if I can configure my system to handle all sound aspects with my recording card.

Got meself since 1 week the DMX6Fire 24/96 and overall I'm pleased for the money I spent. Solid ASIO drivers and reasonable latency for an entry level card.
