Fair market value? Prophet-5 rev3.3
Anybody here know what fair market value is for a Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 rev 3.3?
Everything works on it 100% functional and cosmetically its about an 8 out of 10.

Loudness Button... friend or foe?
How does this little marvel affect your mix approval process? Does anybody have a good work around or make mixing concessions to the loudness button? Do all consumers/bands use this at full volume on home stereos? And, finally, should I just give up and roll-off everything under 100 Hz? ;)

Hurdle No 1.Stedel Not Worthy?
Hi there all you Fairlight users out there...both of you!
I recently applied to join Fairlight's own Forum. Unfortunately Fairlight's policy is that you actually have to own one of their units for you to be allowed access to such hallowed ground.

Intel Application Accelerator 2.1
I've been reading a bit about this at http://www.intel.com/home/tech/optimize_pc.htm
I'm currently running an Asus P4T-E with a Pentium 4 1.8. Does anyone know anything driver/software/whatever it is? It looks interesting, but I'm a little wary of installing something I don't know much about.

UAD-1 PPI Upgrade
Universal Audio has finally released their 2.10 upgrade to their Powered Plugins that run on the UAD-1 card. This release includes the long-awaited Nigel guitar processor (I would guess it is similar to the Amp Farm for Pro Tools and Warp from Steinberg).
They are also due to release their emulation of the Pultec EQ within the month! Way kewl!

fast thru-put with new DualG4s?
I am looking to graduate from a Beige G3, utilizing an adaptec 2940U2W card with a Lacie LVD9.1Gb scsi, to a new Dual 1Ghz G4. My concern is that the 2940 adaptec card is not supported in the new Quicksilver. Hence, I am trying to figure what kind of MB/sec the new mac is likely to give me with its' stock, 80GB ATAharddrive?

EDIT: RO Server is like greased lightning! Oh yeah !
I use the fastest consumer cable ISP in the USA (therefore the world). I use the best equipment. Most sites load instantaneously, including interactive BB systems using UBB and Fusetalk.
But RO has been dog slow from day one. Time for some serious server upgrades, IMO.
Anyone else?
EDIT: Its fixed, its fast and I like it! :D

DP freezes during quit (Rewire)
Sometimes after using DP with Reason slaved. After i quit Reason and OMS, etc - in the order I'm supposed to - and them quit DP, DP freezes. All the project windows close, the stop watch comes up, and it just keeps ticking. I have to force quit the program in order to stop it.
Is this a memory issue? I'm still not sure how much memory I should allocate to DP.

G4/001 vs. . laptop/M-Box and other hardware issues?
Okay, if I track my initial drum tracks at a recording studio, I can do the rest at home with merely an M-box. It might be nice to have more flexibility with the Digi 001 and I probably could afford to get both. The M-box with minimal latency sounds pretty cool.
