Million Dollar Question

Hi? I've been trying to solve this problem for long enough and I'm close to giving up. Here goes. I am trying to sync my Akai MPC 2000 XL, my keyboard, and Nuendo through midi( MTC at 30 fps and midi clock). My aI'm is to record one track at a time on Nuendo, record one track( like a kick drum) then go back and record another( like a snare) so they all are on seperate tracks.

Digi 001 and Pod Pro

I'm trying to nail a guitar sound. A sort of 1980's jcm 800 type thing. Some good examples would be bands like Zeke or The Dwarves even Turbonegro (if you can dig those albums up). Anyway, I can't seem to even come close to what I'm after. Do I need more than the Pod Pro, the Digi 001 and the Joemeek compression plugin ? Do I need to purchase some more hardware?

Sound Forge 6.0 Beta

Sonic Foundry has just released a new version of Sound Forge, version 6.0 (beta only right now). I still use Sound Forge periodically, but have migrated mostly over to Wavelab. Here is a quick summary from Sonic Foundry...(Notice that they still haven't added any new CD burning capabilities to replace CD Architect...) Nothing that looks too impressive to me...
