Quick question, when you are using Kontakt instruments in say Cubase, Logic etc when you convert/export the MIDI tracks to audio are you using the A/D D/A converters of the SoundCard to do this?

My first post here, I hope it adds something useful to this forum.

Can anybody help me with the correct cable wiring for a Shure 545 which has 4 pin amphenol connector (the type which changes impedance by changing the mic cable) very early I believe made in USA before Shure moved production to Mexico.
I bought 2 of these for my son but need to try to sort cables for him

My deal is that I am starting my own studio and I have been racking my brain for a few months trying to figure this out. I want to record drums into my Cubase program. I want to know how to see the tracks show up in the program, like 8 mics at one time seperately so I can mix each drum individually.

Opinions vary so widely on this subject. I don't like pirates but how will this affect the rest of the online community? I will have to admit that I've had little time to educate myself on the bill.

Hi this is my 1st post so be easy on me LOL.
Can you run 2 Tascam 1800's off the same PC. I am looking at setting up a studio in a spare room for the band I play in and have quite a quick laptop but it has no Firewire so I am stuck to using USB interfaces. I am bought Propellor Heads Record after being a big fan of Reason.
