I'm a student working in audio and video post-production. I've looked around but didn't find much on what should be a simple question. Basically, what volume levels are ideal for all my components to minimize hiss and distortion?

I would like to know if anyone can tell me for sure if it's worth paying
the extra price difference between a MOTU and something like an Apogee Ensemble or a RME UFX?
This is mainly a question of sound quality difference

I want to use a single stereo bus output to connect to multi track recorder and I want the stereo bus connected to all of the 8 channels in pairs so 4 stereo pairs

If I take the single bus O/P and daisy chain (or connect in parrallel) to the recorders 8 channels would this be OK or do you have to have a channel per input.

How do I get rid if the headphone play back in the vox track when recording vox.

When playing a vox track I can hear the music that was playing in head phones.

I am new to home recording and run pro tools 9.
With a 2.6 processor 4g of ram. 1T hard drive just fro pro tools.

I recently purchased one and their customer support is abyssal. It has taken them a week to respond by message portal and they have no way to talk to a live person. When they finally got back to me they didn't answer my question at all.
