Server upgrade
Forums
I'm having some tests done to our server now. There will be some slowdowns for a few hours while this is happening (starting 12:40 AM PST) . I am also going to add extra RAM so it should improve performance.
Cheers!

Is it possible to run Mac OS on an intel pc
Forums
hey all the stuff i found on the internet kinda seems like you have to hack your computer, which i don't want to do. wondering if they're is a resonable way to install mac OS on a toshiba intel core 2 dual (1.6) running windows xp. I've started to use Digital Performer down at the studio, and would like to practice with it on my home laptop. Thanks.

where to use my compressor in my chain
Forums
i just got a brand new dbx 266xs dual compressor and limiter. i am so very new to the world of compression and only barley understand what it does.
i would like to use this in conjunction with my PreSonus firepod and Cubase 5 to record vocals, and most importantly, guitar tracks.
i play generally "tight" sounding metal; deathcore, "djent" and other types of heavy music.

Open back headphones?
Forums
Hi,
So I've got my eye on the Sennhieser HD 580s on an auction, could get them cheap. But my concern is the open back element of the headphones, does this mean that if I'm singing to my track with the cans on and recording through my condenser mic. that the mic will probably pick up the sound coming out my headphones ?
Thanks
Rufio

Just thought I would clear that up.

removing guitar finger noise and distortion using the Spectral cleaner
Forums
Ever wondered how to remove guitar finger noise including analog or digital distortion in a solo track without effecting the rest of the background performance? The Visual Spectral Cleaner in Samplitude is amazing!

Wow, one of my favourite bands that went onto to having amazing solo careers. No autotune going on here. And we accepted it all. Glad I,made it through those years.
I loved their albums. Great engineering.
Its interesting to hear this now because I was so hard on myself trying to be perfect back then. Great musicians are not perfect either.
