Solving Noise

I'm trying to reduce the noise from my guitar to an inaudible level. So far I've done a few experiments. It gets low when I'm touching the strings-tail conduit... but not when my dad touches it or when connecting the tail to the 1/4 socket with a spare string... which baffles me. It gets low turning off a tone knob. Turning off the light does nothing.

Advanced noise reduction -slight residual 'flanging' sound

Hi
Making progress in getting a noise free vocal audio master. Applying my NR in 2 passes in Audition.
Noise is virtually removed after 2nd pass(I take a new noise print before each pass) but I have a slight high pitched 'flanging' sound just barely audible.
Can any NR experts suggest some things I might try?

Build a better Network

Most musicians and artists think of only one or two aspects of their career: music and social networking. I find most musicians just go through the motions not really giving it their all, especially when it comes to social networking. In order to improve your skills as a musician, get more gigs and make more money you have to think outside of the box.

New to this awesome forum...am I missing any pieces/adapters for my new setup?

Hi everyone,
Well first off...this forum moved me away from the MXL 990 to the Shure SM58 for recording R&B and Jazz vocals over instrumental tracks. I think I'll be happy with that. I'll get the 990 next month. So this is what I have in my GC basket...
