Alright so as most once were, I am new to recording and am trying to figure out some very beginnerish things.

First off I know the sound that I will be getting out of a home studio is no where near as good as it would sound out of a professional one, more or less because of my experience, room settings and such.

Hello there, I'm new to this forum so don't be harsh if I don't understand some things.
I have problem with my PreSonus FP10 and using it in Cubase/Nuendo 3...the problem is, whenever I arrange my midi drums in addictive drums, or play/record guitar through it, after about 5-15 minutes it just goes to noiseless and I can't hear anything, the signal is gone, and sound is gone!

I want to record 4 different track at a same time. ( 4 mics but different distance ) I am using audiacity adn Cubase 5le. all 4 channels should be record in a separate 4 tracks.
How can I set it up? can I use my usual 4 ch Alesis usb mixer for that ?

HI, I'm fairly new to home recording, using p.c with Adobe Audition and Mixcraft with a simple Guitar and vocal set up via direct input to p.c, Neither Adobe or Mixcraft seem to work.

When it rains, and i have the chance, I enjoy, Nirvana's Incesticide, Hendrix's Axis, my other listens depend on the whim.
I wonder what other RO members' first couple rainy day tracks/albums are..?

I'm trying to reduce the noise from my guitar to an inaudible level. So far I've done a few experiments. It gets low when I'm touching the strings-tail conduit... but not when my dad touches it or when connecting the tail to the 1/4 socket with a spare string... which baffles me. It gets low turning off a tone knob. Turning off the light does nothing.

Making progress in getting a noise free vocal audio master. Applying my NR in 2 passes in Audition.
Noise is virtually removed after 2nd pass(I take a new noise print before each pass) but I have a slight high pitched 'flanging' sound just barely audible.
Can any NR experts suggest some things I might try?

Well Irene came through on Sunday and I awoke to about 2" of water in my studio. I, unfortunately had my DAW resting on the floor with two power supplies for my interfaces and most of my cable runs. I opened the DAW and saw that only the mobo and one interface had gotten wet. It's been left open to dry.
