SOLDERING HELP please
Forums
i'm building myself an iso cab. DON'T BACK OUT please. I'm planning on putting XLR Connector and 1/4'' connector (for speaker connection) on my iso cab. As far as soldering the XLR is concerned, i have no problem. The thing is about the 1/4''. i already have a #12AWG speaker cable that i used to conenct my Mesa Single Rectifier Rectoverb to my 4x12.

Spammer security question
Forums
I was recently responding to a PM, and had forgotten my password, as I'm not a frequent poster here. I was required to answer the question, "Name a brand of cable used by many professionals that starts with the letter M. I guess spambots can't handle that. So- I answered "Mogami".

Final Mix Suggestions
Forums
Hi there, I was wondering if I could get several opinions on what this mix needs in order to be a final mix. I know that there is too much reverb on the (very loud) vocals, and I have heard that the guitar is too loud/as well as too quiet. So I figured I would come here to get more opinions and try different things out.

Active Monitors Always... Active!
Forums
Hi guys,
I have a weird question for this forum, I guess, but anyways. I got a pair of Behringer truth b2030a (or some kind of that), those are active studio monitors. I just wonder whether it's ok to keep them always on or should I better turn them off, when I don't need 'em? May the constant state of being on damage them?
Thanks, people, and all the best to ya!

I am looking to buy the Tascam 1800..it has the correct amount of mic inputs I need, it is USB and not Firewire, and it is in my price range. I will also be buying a new computer to run the 1800. It will be a PC, not a MAC.

USB Preamp that works with Windows 7?
Forums
Does anyone know of a usb preamp that's phantom powered and most importantly works with windows 7? My old mobile pre usb has drivers for windows 7 but they're TERRIBLE. It keeps making most of my audio jacks not work. I only use it for podcasting.
I'd like to register, but I don't know the name of the cable that starts with m that the pros use...

Busking Gear
Forums
Hi, I'm planning to go busking with vocals, electric guitar and an electric bass player. I've been researching battery powered equipment but am fairly new to playing with the right equipment. I've seen a 3 channel input and XLR input battery powered monitor/mixer made by a company called Artec (PMD-8); would it be posible to use this as a way of amplifying ourselves on the street?
