Can it be done?
Forums
So I play (electronic) drums, and my wife plays bass guitar, for 2 separate church bands. In both cases, though, I provide the PA, which is a Yamaha EMX312 powered mixer and a pair of Yamaha C112V speakers.
We also typically have 2-3 mic'd vocals plus electric-acoustic guitar and straight electric guitar (both typically DI'd).

Some simple running sound tips
Forums
Hello,
I'm starting a list called "Some simple running sound tips".
Here's the list:
1. Boost the volume of a instrumental part which is meant to take over the melody of a song.
2. Walking around the room shows that sounds differ when moving from one spot to the other.

New AVID Mboxes
Forums
While I am not suprised AVID rebranded the Mboxes I am suprised at this statement "Now for use with all DAWs and audio software!"
I've never owned an of digi's products so I don't know, do they really only work with the Pro Tools platform?

treating a bar
Forums
I am working at a place that is horribly noisy. The walls are all hard surfaces, and the stage is in a corner. I feel like the corner stage is working like a horn, and pushing the sound out. I have gotten a curtain up around the corner, and that does dampen the highs a touch, but I am looking to find a solution(or at least improvement) to the issue.

Compressor with no preamp?
Forums
Is it really necessary to connect a mic through a preamp first if a dbx 106A is next in line in the chain? I'm just recording guitar and vocals for home demos. I know an Avalon preamp would sound great but I don't have money to burn. I really don't want to buy an Audio Buddy either if it's not gonna be noticeable if I connect straight into a dbx 160A.
