Hello everyone. First post here and looks like a great community. I am looking for ideas on how to record a solo acoustic guitar and vocal at the same time. I guess my main concern is microphone bleed between the two mics being used. My only condenser mics at the moment are the MXL 990/991 matched set.

I have just started building another 4 Seven Circle audio pres to take my tally to 8. I was wondering what would be some decent PCI (or PCIe) AD converters suitable to give me the best out of the preamps?

I'm looking for a 8 (or more) channel ADAT converter to link to a MOTU 828mk3. Budget is about 600 dollar/euro. Fact is that it has to have a DA converter as well, which is not common anymore.

For 5 years I've been using Cubase SX2 with a Pentium 4. Now I have to invest in another computer for my kids, so I think I'm just going to upgrade my studio comp and give my old one to them as it would be more than enough for what they need.

I am going to apologize in advance if this has already been covered, however, I have not seen anything while searching the forums.

It's a good way to exercise your ears so don't complain. This band has always been a secret pleasure of mine, but listening tonight I just realized how good the guitar tone is on this track and on most tracks. What can you decipher by listening? Amps? Cabs? Speakers? Mics? Techniques? Any tips or advice?
