I am using an Aardvark q10 Pro, Cool Edit Pro. i have all of the drivers for the Aark. I have been using CEP and Audition for several years. I recently picked up a computer that was custom built around the time of the manufacture of the Aark and was prestine when i got it.
The computer is solid. I have had the Aark for a year and this is the worst trouble that it has given me.

Hello, new here and been finding lots of great info but I have something a bit specific. I make electronic music as well as urban beats with the goal to hit hard on the club dancefloors. Currently I hate using my M-Audio BX8a's (which I bought on a whim) in an naturally ok sounding small room (carpets, drop ceiling, tons of curtains). Please help me decide on the monitoring setup.

How do you get your mix and levels to work on small speakers.

When I mixed this pictular song, levels sound ok in the car but are lacking when put up on myspace or are dumbed down to mp3.

I understand the loss with mp3 but other engineers seem to still get a reasonably good sound even on mp3 within small computer speakers.

Ok our new drummer brought over his kit and I'm still working on getting a good live recording, is it getting there?

Hey everyone, I am wondering how to get the effect that is used a lot in techno music where the singer's voice sort of glitches out, or sounds like it has a ton of delay on it in one spot. I have been trying to figure this out, any tips helpful...

I will be recording an unusual music group in a couple weeks and wanted to get opinions and advice on a mic setup. I will have access to 8 precision mic preamps going optical into a digi002. I will also have access to various high quality microphones from the university's recording studio.

I'm using Cubase LE and PreSonus Firebox for my audio interface. I don't know what's going on. I clicked on my firefox icon, changed the latency from 10ms to 8ms and then Cubase stopped playing midi sound. The signal is showing up in Cubase, it's just not making sound. Audio will work. I tried sticking it back and it didn't fix things. I restarted the computer and that didn't help either.

I'm not exactly hip to how producers end up getting gold and platinum plaques after producing on an album that sells a certain amount.. If I made a beat for trey songz and he put I'd on his album, and his album sold 1 million copies... Would the label just send me a plaque for it or what? Maybe someone can put me on wit some info?
