I have two cheap Nady CM85 small diaphragm condensers. They have a switch on them below the battery area. One option is M, the other is V. I tried googling, but no luck. Any ideas?

The instrumentation for this project includes one or two vocal tracks, the ukulele with possible overdubbed solo's, djembe, and a bit of other hand percussion.

The only mic's I have available are cheap Nady's that came in a drum package. One DM 80 dynamic, several DM70 dynamics, and two CM85 condensers.

Can anyone recommend an active monitor with sound characteristics similar to the Sennheiser HD-650s? I like the 650's liquid mids, relaxed highs, and strong but not bloated bass.

I work exclusively with solo classical piano material and my room is 12x16.

I am in the process of setting up a mobile recording studio/control room in the back of a van to record live rock bands. This will be primarily used as a tracking studio. Control room in back of van has been sealed and soundproofed (as best as can be) and leaves me with dimensions of 7'6" (l)x 5' (w) x 4'3"(h). Yes, I'll probably use a low chair!

i am using an ART tube MP preamp, auto technica 2020 microphone and adobe audition 1.5 to record vocals...
the feedback on the vocals is still very unbalance the preamp has an input and output and I'm not sure at what level they should be, should the output be louder than the input?
the adobe has a lot of filters to reduce feedback and hissing

I'm using a Realtek HD audio card and I'm recording with Acid Xpress 5.0. I'm trying to record vocals over a music track and I want the music to play through headphones while I'm recording, but it records the vocals and the music track together instead of giving me the vocal track by itself. I downloaded Audacity and it did the same thing so I think the problem is with the sound card.

I have a MOTU Traveler and just recently got Pro Tools LE 7.4 for my Mac OS X 5.2. Something is wrong and it isn't working right. With the MOTU came Audiodesk as well, but neither Pro Tools LE or Audio Desk are recognizing the hardware even after downloading new drivers. Is Pro Tools only compatible with digidesign? Is there a reason that the MOTU isn't allowing me to configure it?
