Can we get some clarification on which meaning for some of those words... Well all of them.

Network. Circle of friends?
Render. Coating the outside walls with concrete?

I have a Tascam US-122L audio interface that I have just recently purchased in the last month or so. I am using Pro Edits 2.0 to record vocals with. I am having trouble being able to center the vocals and get a clear sound at the same time because the Tascam only has mic inputs going to the left or the right.

I read somewhere that sometimes a digital mix will be put onto analog tape and then converted back to digital in an effort to induce the warmth of analog tape.

Is this a common procedure, and how effective is it at doing just that, namely adding some warmth or body, or replicating an analog sound?

My band will shortly be recording a live demo on a Teac 80-8 half inch recorder. Track 1 is kick, 2 is snare, 3 is toms, 4 is all cymbals, 5 is guitar, 6 is lead vocal, 7 is backing vocals, 8 is bass guitar.
Is it better to record everything flat and then compress on mixdown?

Let's say I teach 7th grade music class... and I want to get a speaker system for our create-a-song project.

I want to have a PA that can run vocals, guitar, bass, and a keyboard or two. I could probably get by with 4 channels, but 8 would probably be better.

I have been looking into getting in ear for the whole band but I am a bit unsure about what would be the best system to get. Any input?

My friend was videotaped playing at a local radio station, and I am charged with the task of making the audio sound like it was not recorded from a video camera.

The performance included a singer/acoustic guitar, acoustic guitar, and djembe/shakers.

I extracted the audio just fine, and here is what I did:

a friend of mine just gave me a 16 cahnnel quantum audio labs mixer veery vintage in non working condition, y haven't seen the model yet but i would like to fix it and use it, but i've never heard about it and dont know anything about it...
