I'm wondering what you guys think would be a better choice, overall. I've been leaning towards the E-MU, but I wanted to get a couple more opinions from you guys.

I'll be using this interfaces to record all types of music.

Hi

I know how to record the guitar (and save the file in my pc), but how can I listen to the first track via headphone (my amp is in repair so I am using headphone) and also play solo to the current track simultaneously?

In other words,I want to to hear the background music(from my pc) and the guitar both via the headphone.

Hey everyone. I have Sonar home studio 6 and have been running sound through my crappy sound card with a borrowed dirt old mixer so I need some help. I was wondering what to get between firewire and USB that is both mac and pc compatible considering I’ll be getting a mac soon. Also I was wondering which would be more suitable for my cause, an interface or a mixer.

I am in the process of putting together some samples ( very short 15-20 second clips) to put up on my studio website. Most of the clips are friends who will have no problem with this.
I want to use a sample from an artist who recorded with me several years ago who now has high name recognition ( had some pretty serious MTV airtime for a while).

I would like to improve the quality of my vocals a bit, but I have no money. Would this make any noticeable change?

I have kind of a newbie question. I'm interested in doing some location
recording to a Mac using a PreSonus firewire preamp, but I need more than 8
inputs. I have a 12 channel analog mixer. Can I route the two channel output
from the analog mixer into two channels of the firewire preamp without
overloading the signal or causing other problems?
