I'm loomking for some advice on speaker placement within a club that someone I know is re-building.

Below is a rough plan of the club:

well my wife and i might buy a house that is in the beginning stages of being built. the contractor said that if we decide to go with it, we can customize the layout...etc. that being said, i was planing on using the basement as my studio. i was looking for some advice as far as what i can have done to make this room best suited for recording/playing music.

If I want to record my live session, what seems to work best?

1. To record the audio solely from some audience microphones?
2. To record the audio coming from the FOH mix?
3. A combination of both?

Which technique is used the most? Thanks for your input!

I'm having a big issue on what recording interface to upgrade to. Keep in mind I'm upgrading from a M-Audio MobilePre USB, so anything will be a significant increase in happiness :) ...hopefully, but I'm being really fickle with everything though and keep changing my mind. Here's what I'm looking at. I have a few questions as well if you don't mind helping me out.

Ive been recording for awhile now and ive been looking for a way to tweak my vocals and clean them up, and make them sound better.

I had this problem before, and thought it was because I was using unbalanced cable. But now I've gone and bought a TRS 1/4" to XLR cable and the noise problem remains.

I have been using a 1010LT in a very basic home studio setup for a year or so now and have run into a kink now that I am changing my setup. My old setup used 1 out from the 1010LT to a receiver and from there I used either headphones or speakers to monitor. I recently got decent active monitors so I don't need the receiver anymore.

Hi ! I Run Sonar 5 Producer w/some x-tra plugins ! (waves) I Also Use A Lexicon Omega for my sound card. The Problem I'm Having Is That
Sonar Won't Let me convert the file to an mp3 so I did it on a wave converter ! However Once I load it on to My Space there is no sound !

My new Dell laptop comes with Vista and does not have a "stereo Mix" function, my external Creative Soundblaster MP3+ soundcard also does not have this option, how can I get this stereo mix funtion please,? I would prefer a software option but if not, then hardware, help?
