Vocals are SOUNDING like they were recorded separately

So my band and i finished laying down our drums, guitar, and bass tracks so then we started to record vocals for our song. Once we recorded, using a mxl 990 (we also have an SM58), we tried to mix everything to make the vocals fit in nicely. It still felt to me like the vocals sounded fake in a way, like the listener could tell that we recorded the vocals separately.

Vocal Recording Set-up

I have never done anything, as far as music studios are concerned, with professional recording stuff. Sometimes I'll mess around with Sony Acid Music Studio software, but that is all. I really want to set up a (with professional equipment) Vocal Recording area. I was going to get a kit called RODE TO RECORDING SYSTEM Recording Package but I would rather handpick my own equipment.

Live Vocal Rig

We're going to start gigging soon and I want to have as much control over my vocal sound as possible. Whenever I have gigged in my old bands I've just put up with whatever the soundguy did at the time, but after running my voice through the tube preamp, and having control of the effects through a zoom G9.2tt, I am keen to build my sound on a few channels.

vocal chain thoughts

Hi all! Been a while. Well, I'm recording a female vocalist, and I am going to try everything I have on her initial demos to see what works best with her voice. Not that I have much, but it is what it is! I'm looking to see what the folks here think would be the go-to chain (with what I have) for a bluesy female voice, not having heard it...this is more of an exercise.

Vocals not syncing with the track

Hi everyone. I record my vocals using Cubase on karaoke tracks. What i do is i import the karaoke track track in it and insert another audio track, to record vocals. After the vocals are recorded. I just play both the tracks simaltaneously, this is where the problem arises, the vocals are a bit fast than the actual karaoke track, making it way out of sync.
