Question on a vocal effect.

I was just wondering if you guys could help me with this. I really like the effect used in the cover song "Metal" by Nine Inch Nails. I'm thinking it's a reverse delay effect on his audible breathing/cymbals, possibly? It starts building at 2:05 and builds to climax at 2:10 right before he sings the next line. It also happens at 2:23-2:30 over his voice. Let me know what you guys think it is.

Cedar Lined Vocal Booth

Pardon me for stickin' my nose in down here in vocal land, but I have a pretty good reason for invading. :)

In the process of building my studio, I'm just about ready to work on the isolation booth finishes. I have enough lumber to "do" the booth in eastern red cedar. I chose the cedar for the color and vibe I think it conveys. It certainly is some pretty wood, IMHO.

Creating a choir with multiple vocal tracks

I have reasonable luck creating a choir with my own voice on multiple vocal tracks with a little help from Voice Live by TC Helicon's octave doubler to crank up my voice up or down an octave in some parts.

I've been experimenting with changing the eq, adding vibrato, changing the pitch a couple of cents, and adding chorus and flanging effects to give each voice some variation.
