I have a little project that has me stumped. I am sure lots of folks on the forum do this all the time, but I have never tried it.

One Mic (under $200) for female vocals, acoustic guitar and electric guitar?
Hi everyone, this is my first post here.
I'm looking to purchase a single mic to record female (alto) vocals, and acoustic and clean electric guitar. My guitar amp is a Princeton Reverb. I know that I should probably get two separate mics but I don't have the space or budget for that as I live in a very small room.

Advice Needed On Vocal Mixing
Hello lovely people, and how is everybody doing
Typically speaking, when I work on my Vocals, I apply a High Pass Filter, adjust it depending on what sounds clearer and stands out more in the mix, and then I usually boost some of the higher frequencies, once again depending on what makes the vocals stand out more in the mix.

Alignment when Comping Vocals
Hey when comping vocals and there is a note that is a little late or a little early with respect to the beat, you want to shift that syllable so it's in line with the notes on the beat. I'm having trouble with this. Doing it by ear seems a little hit and miss. Is there a more scientific way to know if a particular vocal's syllable is aligned with a note on the beat?

Recording vocals and acoustic guitar without a computer
Hey all, probably a stupid question but I need to know if an MXL-990 condenser mic will work with a Tascam dp-32sd Portastudio without an audio interface. I was thinking of ordering this recorder and mic to get away from computer recording and wanted to make sure I get everything I need at one time.
Thanks!

Best Way to Double Track Vocals?
I have been recording my own stuff for years and want to try thickening up my choruses, making them more powerful for more contrast and pop (in style). Whenever I do them, the two tracks of my voice tend to come off as sounding droney.
