recorded vocals coming in and out.
I just got an emu 1212m. I never had this problem with my other soundcard, audiophile 2496...when I try to record in adobe audition I get no signal at all and when I try to record in Cubase sx parts of the vocals that get recorded won't come out...anyone have any ideas what I can do to fix this?

live recording/jamming...vocal monitors?
just curious, forgive my ignorance, what the most common form of vocal monitor sound is in the average studio? powered mixer running out to passive enclosures? power amp running to PA speakers? powered speakers?

Hardcore Vocals
I read somewhere in here that 421's are great for recording harcore vocals. Is that correct? What about 57's?

removing one vocal
hello people,
ive got to learn some harmonies for a song but i cant really hear the male vocals. Now is there anyway i could remove the female voice so i could hear the male harmony. Could it be done with cutting the higher frequencies? (Is this a stupid question/theory)?

Vocal Booth
Anyone know where to purchase a vocal booth for under $1500? No live recordings will be done.
Thanks

What mics are great for female vocals?
I am wanting to find out if I can improve the quality and character of lead female vocals, since that is a main element of the commercially distributed music my wife and I create. We are thinking that a more appropriate mic could help. We have been using a Neumann TLM 103, but the sound we are getting has a harsh edgy quality. We also have a CAD E-200, but it tends to have a muffled sound.

Dealing with a lot of vocal tracks.
I am in a session where I have numerous vocal tracks. Beside the lead vocal there are two tracks for soprano, alto, tenor, and bass parts for a Worship song. In regards to mixing, I will pan each group in a different spectrum from left to right. However I am wondering, are there any general guidelines you could suggest in regards to EQ, fader levels and compression.
