32-bit floating point
Has this been answered before? I have this included into our future wiki section but it doesn't really explain what it means to us:

DAW, dual boot xp pro 64 and xp pro (32 bit). Help!
Hi,
I'm putting together a PC/DAW, it's my first build and i keep going 'round in circles.
If possible, i'd like a dual-boot system, one boot as windows xp pro (32 bit) and the other either XP pro-64 or Vista 64 (to run Sonar 6)
my hardware is.
32 bit and above
maybe it's a remedial question, but why aren't there 32 bit and above PCM converters, why does it just jump from 24 to delta sigma

64bit Processor vs. . Faster 32bit Processor for a DAW
what do you guys think is a better set-up for a DAW, does anyone know whether Software like Sonar or CUBASE take advantage of the 64bit technology? i heard a lot of older software out there will run on a 64bit processor as a 32 bit process, and not get done any faster?
32bit apps in window xp vs. . 32bit apps in 64bit window xp

The 32bit Float Advantage
Import a music track into a 32bit float engine audio software
Put 2 gainer plugins on the track and lower the first gainer by 143dB
boost the second gainer by 143 dB
Listen, it sounds exactly the same.
And now compare it with the same track phase inverted: silence.
