audible difference in sample rates (96k - 192k)
hi, i've been reading through threads that debate the difference in recording different sample rates and i have a question. i'm a beginner, so i might be in over my head, so forgive me if this is a dumb question (i know, no dumb questions just dump people ).
analog to 192?
hello all,
I was wondering what you think would be the best way for me to get my analog preamps (avalon, and ua) into my 192 I/O. right now the 8 analog ins are taken up by my digi pre. do I have to buy an expansion card or is there another way to get more analog ins.
thanks!

192k reverb plugins
I am currently working with a client who is insisting on recording and mixing at 192kHz. Fine by me, but we have done sessions in a couple of studios now with Pro Tools TDM HD rigs and although both of them had the full suite of Sony Oxford plugins the Reverb plug was not available in a 192 session, did not even show up in the list.

192 vs. . 96 quality dithering to 44.1?
What is the point of recording at 192 htz or 96 htz when you have to dither everything down to 44.1htz to burn it to a CD? Does it sound better? I don’t understand why to buy a 24 bit 192 htz vs 24 bit 92 htz if you dither down to burn a CD? I am thinking of gettting the Aleis 24xz but it only records up to 96khz.

Protools|HD 192i/o question.
Hello, I would like to know if anyone has a site or image of a wiring schematic for the DB25 connectors that the 192i/o uses? Also, I'm confused as to how many analog inputs the stock 192i/o has? I see two db25 connectors on the back but each have different voltages? does this mean that there are 16 possible XLR inputs without the added expansion card?

PreSonus Eureka AD192 with EMU1820M sync issue
I am using the SPDIF out on my PreSonus Eureka to my EMU1820M SPDIF in. My host is set for 44Khz and my Eureka is set for the same. I am getting a low level crackle on my audio. If I set the Eureka to 88KHz it goes away but the tone suffers a tad.
Does anyone know If I need to use the BNC world clock to sync the EUreka to the EMUs 44Khz?
Thanks

Need more inputs! MOTU HD192?
hello hello.
I currently have a Tascam FW-1884 (8 XLR ins). I also have a Focusrite Twin Track Pro that I run the outs from the Focusrite into the inserts on the Tascam thereby bypassing the pres on the Tascam.
