new mic for acoustic guitar to replace AKG c1000 ?
I am a hobbyist and have been recording with an AKG c1000 mic for a 5 or 6 years and feel like its time to try something new. I was breifly looking at a RODE NT1A which is around 250$, but am just beginning my search. Any suggestions?
It will mostly be for acoustic guitar (occasionally used for vocals).
Single mic for one person performance vocals and acoustic guitar
Hi all,
Thanks for your help in advance...
I haven't done this mic setup before; I have a small consult requested from a one person performer who travels and wants me to set up an easy use mixer and single mic to pick up both vocals and acoustic guitar that he can do himself.
How do i record acoustic guitar in stereo?
Hi, i just bought a matched pair of RODE NT55 mic's and a Focusrite 18i8 interface. Im using Garageband. What setting in garageband do i need to adjust for stereo mic recording? Will the recording appear as two separate tracks or just one? Also my monitors are active when i record. I have selected the turn monitors off feature but they are still on. Im not sure how to fix this.

How to record Acoustic Guitar and Vocals at the same time?
Hi there!
I'm completely new to recording. I searched for forums on Google about mics and recording and found this site...
I have a Blue Yeti microphone and that's all. I need to be able to record my guitar (unplugged) and vocals at the same time with a decent sound. I tried previously but my guitar was too loud and my vocals were too quiet.
Need Advice on Micing My Acoustic Guitar
I've asked for advice here before on this but this is slightly different. I have a low end Ibanez acoustic with preamp and have been Micing it with an AT3035 (the done away with version of the 2035 from what I understand). I've been recording straight into my Firestudio with the Ibanez' preamp plus recording a few inches from the 3035 with the mic being in between the 12th fret and sound hole.

Recording acoustic guitar -- track included, feedback wanted
Hi all,
Recorded my brother-in-law for practice on an AT2020 condenser mic, and mixed the track using Adobe Audition CS6. He is playing a Taylor 214CE.
Any feedback on the mix would be appreciated.
