Studio Projects C4 mic for acoustic guitar?

I record a lot of acoustic guitar in my home studio. I currently switch between an AT4040 and an SM57. The 57 sounds, well, like a 57 - a bit chunky for guitar. The AT4040 has a slight kick in the low mids that make my guitar and mandolin sound a bit boxy. I usually have to EQ it out. So, I'm looking for an additional mic for acoustic guitar/mandolin/fiddle micing.

suggestions for acoustic guitar model to record with

hey all

I'm having problems getting a good tone recording acoustic guitar. i have an ovation custom legend, which i have always hated (biggest waste of $k i have ever spent), and am looking to trade it for something which will get me better results. my gibson jumbo is way too boomy and bassy as well.

Good drum mic set? And acoustic guitar recording

Kick- AKG112D or Shure Beta52 ?
Snare- 2x Shure sm57
Toms- 3x Sennheiser MD 421
Overheads- sE electronic SE1A stereo pair

Thats it. Is there anything u suggest me to change? (sept sE mics coss i like tham).
+ I'm thinking to buy those sE reflection filters for drums... Does anyone have some experiance with tham?

which compressor for vocals and acoustic guitar?

I'm recording for myself, vocals and acoustic guitar. It's slow mellow music, with a theory of a deadman type voice.

Wondering what compressor to start with...

I'm planning to purchase:

api512c preamps
Blue blueberry mic for vocals OR Neumann 49 or 67 .
Blue Woodpecker for my acoustic guitar.

now i have to choose a compressor...
