I have this simple stage setup that I want to buy equipment for:

1) I have 8 microphone inputs (being expandable to 16, is a bonus)
2) I would like to have at least three stage monitors for the performers with different mix of inputs (4 is better)

So I'm working on the birth of a record label that will be releasing old field recordings of local heritage type music. A decade or two ago my boss gave some of those recordings to County Records and they used some of them in a compilation. My boss has the original masters and nothing was signed when he handed over copies of the recordings.

i would like to know the difference between a large-diaphragm and small diaphragm condenser mic...I'm trying to bulit a home studio i would like you to recommend me some of them under $200.
