I am struggling to get this guitar track down correctly, it is mostly finger picking patterns in a 7/8 time signature. It is around 5-6 minutes long but I have been attempting to break it up into 3 parts though I still find it difficult to stay on time with the metronome though.

I need a little help choosing audio interfaces as there is a lot of conflicting info out there and I am pretty confused .

I am starting to take recording seriously, myself and friends have a group that raps, with occasional singers for choruses, etc. I am piecing together a home studio for us, as now we are recording into a laptop at various locations. I am in IT, so the computer was easy (and cheap).

I'm looking to record electric violin out of an SWR California Blonde II acoustic amp. The sound is very much like that of an acoustic violin/viola/cello. The genre would be mostly classical and soundtrack.

Right now all I have an SM-57 and a Tascam US-122L Audio Interface, which does not work very well at all for capturing warmth, definition, and liveliness.

I have a small band in which I play 2 different Ukuleles with externally mounted Dimario piezo-electric pickups, and an archtop acoustic with a suspended humbucker pickup.

Each of the ukes is plugged into it’s own 7 band EQ pedal. The guitar is plugged in to an overdrive pedal then it’s own 7 band EQ.

I know this should probably be an inquiry to the company and not a recording forum, but you guys are the pros and I want pro opinions, not a product recommendation.

hello my fellow audio engineers! :cool: I am having quite a dilemma on choosing a microphone . I have been doing much research the last couple of days on microphones and have learned a thing or two but i really need some suggestions and help on picking by first serious microphone. I'm currently using a digital reference condenser mic i bought in guitar center for 90 bucks .

We are working with a final mix, done on pro tools, and are set to master it. The final mix sounds GREAT and I don't want to alter the sound in the mastering process. What would you suggest be done in the mastering process? I am not a recording engineer. I am the producer of the project. Thanks in advance.

Ive just recently been offered a production contract and I would like to move forward with it. They've handed me a pretty general contract and want me to add or change what i want on it. Ive been looking up a lot on whats standard as far as dividing money goes but I'm still not sure how to deal with my particular situation. The deal is with 2 other performers and myself.

I have a few questions about what is standard practice when an artist (in particular a rapper) enters into a contract. This very talented rapper has agreed to be represented by a pair with a lot of combined internet, technical, marketing and web development expertise who will act as his agent, manager, producer, label, promoter and web developer.
