Need advice for a mac user just starting.

I am just getting started in the home recording area. I have a G3 500 mz iMac with over 700 meg ram. I just bought a Voice Tonelab to go with my Gibson EB bass, 67 Hofner 500/1 and Fender Strat. (also have a midi). I am need of advise as to what I should get as far as software to purchase etc so I can start the home recording process.

I have a Roland SI-24 Studio Package Pro and will be using Logic and Sibelius to start with.

My computer whiz brother and I are building a pc to be a designated audio machine. This is what we came up with on my budget:

Need Advice On Books To Purchase

Hi everybody, I'm fairly new here. I have a small (amateur) studio with some just OK, maybe not-so-good equipment.

I'm looking to improve my recordings, especially tracking that requires Micing (saxophone, flute, acoustic guitar, vocals). I see there are books out there. Anyone recommend books that would be good?

I already have a rockin DAW that I built for a home studio but now I am in the market for a home system that I will be using mostly for internet and photoshop. I won't be doing much recording so I don't need a super powerful machine and I'm on a much stricter budget this time around (under $400 not including monitor).
