Just a quick question for everyone! :)

Im trying to make sure that my final mixes aren't going into the 'red' on the Master fader in Pro Tools.
( so that i can send it off to be Mastered )...

I have been looking on this site for months and finally have placed my order from newegg for my system components.

On the way I have an Asus P4p800 e deluxe MB, P4 2.8ghz prescott cpu, Zalman cpu fan, 470 watt PS and 2 74 gig Raptor SATA hard drives.

Hello.This is my first post here.
I've got a Roland VS-2480CD,and have started attempting to record better drum tracks for my tunes.
My kick drum and 3 toms are miced with Digital Reference mics.
The snare and hi-hat have a Shure SM58 stuck in between them.
There is a Behringer B-1 condenser up high and centered,as an overhead.

This is my first post here, so "hello" to everyone! Over the last few years of playing/recording, it's hard to believe I didn't run across this board sooner! :) So, I'm hoping to get some advice, and you guys look like the people to turn to.

Im about to have a band come over to use my home studio to record a demo CD, I have an Shure sm57 and a pl76 condnser. Mic placement advice is much appreciated. Note that i have no money to go buy new equipment :( .

Okay. Say someone owns a studio, and happens to not be making much money at the time, recording and producing. Sessions are few and far between. Say the owner is in debt, and any money he earns is already spent due to this.
