Can anyone guide me as to how will the AKG C214 microphone will be suitable for voice-overs.

Anyone who has used the mic, or owned it.

Have not found many reviews on the same, if can guide.

I am trying to find an affordable studio mic and so far came up with these, the reason? price of course but they are the only ones I can afford at this time. Musicians Friend has this deal with the MXL 3000 with the shock mount and pop filter for 149. I read they are priced at 349 before hand.

I'm using this headphones (AKG K 242 HD) with my KRK rokit 6 in my home studio. It is good choice for mixing? Or if maybe not What can You advise for mixing from headphones?

What is the general opinion on this one? It isn't a C426 or anything I'm sure. And you know I need another mic. .that hole in my head has been healing up pretty nicely of late.

I upgraded from an AT2020 to AKG c214, i am currently running a Lexicon alpha into my laptop and adobe audition 1.5, after connecting the AKG the sound is a lot lower with the Lexicon setting untouched and the white noise is a lot higher than i expected, so i need to turn the mic volume louder than i had it with the AT2020, which also increases the white noise.

i bought in december 2 AKG mics (c 3000b & c 1000s) from a dude that's selling his whole gear (he plans to move in states) and i trust him he sold me a pair of Alesis m1 active mkII and a midi kb Fatar sl 880. BUT these 2 mics seem to distort everytime i work with a stronger voice (even thought in mixer gain is at the lowest level). I use a soundcraft spirit studio lc .

Does this mic sound as good as the other versions? I have a chance to get a pair cheap! I no its a good deal but I was wondering if there are any other versions out there that are better and more versatile than this one that I can buy new. Are the remotes and leds the only difference? Im going to be using them for every imaginable source and genre.

who has used it? how can you compare it to other pencil condensers? anything that you particularly like about it? anything you dislike about it?

i dont know much about them; a pair showed up on craigslist for $200/each.
