hi, i'm planning on upgrading my interface and was planning on going with apollo 16 but i was reading online the sound quality is not noticeably better and for $3000 i want it to sound better than my firestudio projects.

i use logic and was wondering if maybe going Avid hardware is the way to go?

Even if you just use the stock plugins, the realtime printing and monitoring facilities seem quite useful. Thought this was interested. Sure Chris is gonna be excited... Not. Lol.

Hey all, I just wanted to put it out there, that "pt mode" should not be checked when using the Apollo w pt 11. I spent hours and hours setting up my cousins new system, trying to figure out why the link function wasn't working, and why all the built in pres were routed to ch 1, regardless of I/o settings.

i stumbled across thiswhile doing research for my cousins upgrade. i wanted to hear it, and WOW, now i want one even tho i don't need it. sure its pros doing the demo, but it's all UA, no pet outboard. enjoy.
