I see a lot of folks are using Beyer ribbon for overheads etc...I would love to grab a Royer but it is a little out of my budget..What are the recommendations? What is the main difference between the 160 and the 130? Both are bidirectional...How does the 260 sound?..I am not buying a pair and will be mostly using these for jazz acoustic and vox...

These cost just under £300, and I'm sure you've all used one (Jesus, it's been out long enough :roll: ). So, what I'd like to know is: how far up the price scale would I need to go to find a condenser that's either comparable or better?

After getting screwed by an eBay scam artist and losing my Audix D1 purchase, I have to start over again.

Does anybody have any first-hand experience specifically comparing the D1 with the M201TG for close-miced snare?

Hello folks. I don't think I've ever posted here before. I just bought some inexpensive pres on eBay. I need some extra inexpensive ones to go with my DAW. I have 8 channels of some really nice pres - Millennia but I just need some extra to pull in through lightpipe in case I need more.

Anybody know anything about this mic?

I have a chance to score the Beyer kick mic for $125, and the Cad for $30... anyone know if these are decent mics. I like Beyer stuff, I just want to know if this is one of the good ones or not.
Cant find a price for the TGX anywhere though so I dont know what its worth...

any ever use the Beyer M-88 classic, what is it best suited for?

A while ago a friend gave me an old microphone. It's a Beyer M61 and the serial number is 13028.

I have sent an e-mail to Beyer because I couldn't find anything about it on their website.

The only thing they can tell me is it must be very old, so I ask you guys: does anybody know this mic?

Looks like a very small windfall has come my way and the mic bug has bitten. Ribbon's are what I said I was going to get next...Sooooo...a
question(semi-directed to Nathan since I know he uses them)regarding Beyer Ribbons.

Any general or specific thoughts/opinions about the pros and cons of the quality or character differences between the two brands?
