Cheapest 2x ADAT i/o soundcard
A friend of mine owns a Behringer 3216 with 2x ADAT i/o. What would be the cheapest soundcard to connect it with a PC?
I was thinking of the RME DIGI 9636, which looks unbeatable in this case. Any other suggestions?

Recording bass w/ no amp or cheap amp
(I have similar post in another forum, sorry to anyone that's read this twice )
Been recording with Audigy2 Soundblaster card. Everything's been going smoothly until I went to add bass, and no I'm was stuck. Running the bass straight to the soundcard produced a very muddled sound with the low frequencies overwhelming the rest.

replacing tubes in cheap preamps
i've been thinking about saving myself some money by replacing the stock 12AX7 tube inside my $80 preamp with a better tube. (i think i ran across the bnb tubes site in one of these forums).
is this something slightly common? would it be worth it? would i get myself a more pleasing sound or a bad electrical shock?

Im not much of a piano player so ill just use it to punch in some simple melodies; Im thinking that a 1 or 2 octave keyboard will be fine, right? What other features should I look for in a keyboard? could anyone recommend a good one for me? thanks alot.

Cheapest Interface for Eight Channels ADAT into Pro Tools
Hi Everyone
I own a Metric Halo 2882 that I have used for a couple of years with Cubase. I love this set up, but I need to begin using Pro Tools at work. I plan on buying Pro Tools LE to learn the layout of the program, etc.
My question is...
