Royer SF-24 , DPA 4011 ORTF for Choirs
I've discussed this more than once but wasn't sure what mics I'd settle on and know how the room would sound with people in it until yesterday.
Recording 14 choirs over 2 days. Largest choir will be 75 people.

Choir - Where are the mics?
So beautiful.
University of Utah Singers-Sure on this Shining Night
The separation is very nice, where do you think the mics are here? I see small flank stands on the left /right of the stage. Sounds so smooth.
hmm I'm thinking about my up coming Choir project which has me lurking.

Recording Choirs, boom stands and setup advice
The outline:
Best Epic Choir and Brass Sample Libraries?
Hello everyone.
Opinions on realistic hard edged choir samples for Kontakt 4?
Or any VSTi with good aggressive Epic sounding choir stuff for cinema? I'd appreciate some input before sifting through a ton of demos and laying out the cash.

using ultimate support lighting stands for overheads Choirs
I'm going to be needing help over the next month preparing for our cities Royal Conservatory competition choirs.
This is my first time recording choirs.
I'm needing overheads sometime here or in the future so I'm wondering what you all recommend I should buy or can I use these?
time aligning spot mics in choir/ orchestral recordings?
Folks-
Do you do this? Under what circumstances? Interested in what folks do with this tool- it was not available in the 'old days' when we simply observed good 3:1 ratio and other guidelines. Does delaying spot mics assist you in getting better audio now that this tool is available? Your thoughts?
Choir on NagraT?
Hello!
I've been asked by a non-professional choir to record them...
As i don't wan't to drag my whole studio there, i was thinking of using a simple 2 mics set up (probably M/S) and recording them on my NagraT...
It would allow me to only take an analog mixer, my pair of tannoy, my NagraT, 2 mics (2 U67?), a few cables and stands.
What do you think of that?

Live immersive choir with feedback-exclusion
I am working on experimental scenario which is proving to be an audio challenge. I aI'm to gather a group of between 5 and 30 people to drone and sing chorally together. This should then be amplified by mics situated within the group, whilst a large soundsystem surrounding the group amplifies the drone (with and without effects). The aI'm is to create immensely powerful immersion.

Outdoor Choir Reinforcement
In a couple of weeks, I'm doing some sound reinforcement for a choir. They have requested t as last year apparently there were complaints they couldn't be heard. My experience in outdoor sound reinforcement is with bands, which is obviously close miccing etc...
