Console used to track MJ's "Thriller"?

Here's the scoop: an otherwise VERY reputable broker is trying to sell me a Trident 80C they say was used to track Thriller.

By all acounts I've read, Bruce Swedien recalls it was API and Harrison desks at Westlake Sound during the making of that record.

I can't imagine this well-known pro audio retailer would flat out lie (or even be mistaken) about such a thing.

Easy question: Stereo tracks through console

This will certainly be an easy question. We are going to buy a Soundcraft Ghost 24 which we will be using with Sonar 4. We will also be buying a MOTU 24i/o. But having never worked on an analog desk before now, how do the ins and out work? If I have for example 8 drum tracks in mono, they would go through any of the inputs (1-8 for example). But what do we do with stereo tracks?

Soundcraft LX7ii Opinions

Well our church burnt down in August and we are building a new church. With that comes a new pa. so the board that was recommended to us was the soundcraft Lx7ii. it look like an ok board but i don't know the church will be doing contemporary praise and worship and we are going to be running the Aviom personal monitor system so we don't necessarily need allot of subs. i think 4 would do fine.

analog/digital consoles tell me about your setup..

Hey all. question. How do you guys deal with mixing, with analog consoles? do most people, use, there inserts as outputs to there converters? or, the direct outs? so, the signal passes on the way, in, and, then mixing is done in the DAW>?

Do some, run the ins and outs, of there soundcard to there analog mixer? and if so, how do you approach this?
