so i got a PreSonus firestudio and not a big fan of cuebase compared to PT so i have a digi002r on its way to my house wondering if the firestudio will be compatible to link with the 002r or am i going to have to get another pre-amp. ive been looking at getting rid of the firestudio and i think i still got my firepod layin around and getting the MOTU 8-pre and running that with the 002r

I'm assuming this is set up is going to sound way better than PreSonus firepod I've been using. I was just wondering if anybody has any experience with any of these pieces of gear? I did a search, but I couldn't find anything really good. I know I'm going to have to learn how to use Pro Tools, but I've heard it's very user friendly.. so we'll see!

I am using Cakewalk Home Studio 2002 to record a simple drum beat and guitar demo. I created the drum beat using Fruity Loops Express, with a tempo of 140. I exported that to a wav file, then imported it into cakewalk after setting the tempo to 140. No problems up to this point.

hey, i was wondering if it would be possible to buy 4 channel analog mixer with direct outputs?

then I could plug mic's into the mixer and use it as preamps, then connect the direct outs for each channel to input 5-8 on the back of my 002 rack and mix the session in pro tools?

I got two Daws a DIGI 002 rack based and the other with the a 001, how is the most efective way to sync both system (002 machine as Master and the 001 as slave..the idea is to get 64tracks system with the two system, i've to get the dvtoolkit but is only more chanells not more power processing,..if any one could help..thanks... I bought a used Digi 002R on ebay. When I plugin the Digi 002R into my Mac mini, the 002R is not recognized when starting the Pro Tools LE 6.9.3 application. The hard dive that is plugged into the back of the 002R is also not being recognized on the Mac Mini, not even in Disk Utility.

Hello all, this is more of just a curiosity question rather than something in my near future. I have heard it is possible to connect another interface to your digi 002 rack to add more input channels, but I'm not 100% sure. assuming it's possible, how would I go about linking them? would pro tools recognize it? For now, I was looking at a Firepod, or a MOTU 8 pre firewire. Thanks!

when i record into Pro Tools it seems like I'm not making the best of my input gain. i have my first 8 channels going into my 002 via the ADAT light pipe and then i have another 4 channels going into the 4 line level inputs, not the pre's. I'm not using those..

hello everyone. I run Pro Tools LE w/ a digi 002 rack on a Mac Pro desktop (Intel). I do a lot of guitar recording but due to a need to keep the noise down (unfortunately) I am forced to record directly into PT. What I do now is run the guitar through a Line 6 Pod XT floor pedal. then run it into a channel on the 002 rack.
