I bought a used Digi 002R on ebay. When I plugin the Digi 002R into my Mac mini, the 002R is not recognized when starting the Pro Tools LE 6.9.3 application. The hard dive that is plugged into the back of the 002R is also not being recognized on the Mac Mini, not even in Disk Utility.

i have been working for a couple of years with a layla 3g and a Focusrite octopre. and so far so good. but until a couple of days i started asking my self if there is a sonic quality diference between a sound card like the layla and the digi 002? if i want to improove in terms of sound quality what sound card do you recommend me to move forward?

Does anyone know if the digi 002's line mic inputs have phantom power? and what mics require phantom power?

I was wondering if i could link two digi002s together and have 16 inputs or does it not work that way and has anyone worked with the control 24 control surface and reviews on it?

I'll give a bit of information on what I have now.
-Sony VAIO Pentium-D 2.6GHz 1G RAM
-Windows XP
-E-MU 1820M audio interface with audio dock
-PreSonus DIGIMAX FS into E-MU via ADAT optical
-Cubase SX3
-Yamaha HS-50M/HS-10 Monitor System

I have my ultragain pro-8 out into my 002 rack to record drums . its cracking though randomly and really not recordable till these cracks are gone..

Advice how can i fix this

Okay just got the 002 Digidesign and my firewire connection was working fine.

Than i moved my studio in my basement and eversince the connection is green and working than the firewire loses connection, goes back on and goes back off, sometimes it stays on than sometimes it goes back off and doesnt come back its very bad and I'm not sure what the problem is.

I got the ultragain pro-8 because the 002 rack only had 4 preamps and i need 5 to record drums. So i got it for that.

Hi everybody. I'm using a Grace 101 (ribbon version) into an Apogee Mini-Me into an mBox (via spdif). Does anybody know if there would be a difference in sound quality if I used a 002 instead of the mBox? I would still be using S/PDIF in either case. Thanks. Dennis PS Remy, I'm in love with you!

Can you use all 8 inputs on the back of the digi 002 at the same time? that being the 4 XLR and 4 quarter inches?
