What do i get when i buy a digi 002? will i have enough to start? with vocals and compressors?

I've got a DIGI 002 and am considering upgrading it. So far, I'm considering a Apogee MiniMe or the BlackLionAudio.com upgrade. I have a home production studio and track samples, keyboards, vocals, and guitar. I use a couple of Universal Audio A-610's, dbx 376 channel strip, and a Marquette Audio Labs AM-16 as my preamps . I don't usually track anything more than 2 channels at a time.

Hi. I have a simple question. On the 002, is it possible to use the 8 analog inputs and the 8 optical inputs simultaneously? My goal is to use the PreSonus DigiMAX LT and have 12 mic preamp available. Thanks

Recently i bought a copy of logic just to see how good it was and i like it!

I recently purchased a Mackie 800r to upgrade the pre's on my existing digi 002 rack. I connected them using a d-sub snake, which goes out from the Mackie and into the digi 002 through 8 1/4" cables.

What else do I need to do (software calibration, etc.) to get this setup to work?

Hey all, first posting,love the forum.
Im setting up to record live and wanted input as to the pros and cons of the instruments and vocals going to the 002 rack/pro tools, before the mixer .We use 8 channels so it could be done.
Using a g4 macbook pro. Will it handle the plugin effects without ruining the quality of the tracks.?

So a friend of mine has a 002r and he had the mic preamps hot rodded to API pres. Has anyone ever heard of this. If so do you know where I could have it done? how much it cost? any of that?

So I just got the Digi 002r. Prior to that I had been using my computer's sound card and my klipsch computer speakers to mix, but since I got the 002r I temporarily traded my klipsches to my buddy in return for him letting me use his monitors.

this is my virgin post, and I reckon I'll be hanging around a while - so here's my situation/question.

I have been using a DIGI001 for 3 years now. I'm building a new, PC based system, and am considering getting a DIGI002R. Sound quality-wise, I would imagine the A/D converters play the biggest role here.
