Firewire 1814 help...Vista
I'm using a 1814 with windows vista.. my problem is that when i try and change to ADAT it won't let me. I have all tried kinds of things. downloading new drivers, going to my Xp computer and reseting the 1814 and other things that an m-audio worker told me to do, but nothing. I was hoping something that knows what they are really doing can help me.
thank you for your time!

Firewire or PCI on old computer?
I'm pretty much new to computer-based recording.
It's 2 Ghz and only has 256 MB RAM. I wanna upgrade it to 1 gig.
I'm planning on ditching my previous Firebox plan. I really have no idea if I'd be better off quality-wise using firewire or with PCI; I just know that PCI would be a lot cheaper for me.

Need help with Phonic Helix 18 Firewire Mixer!
I've had this mixer in my studio for a while but I never actually took the time to get it completely up and running. This is due to the fact that I have had the same problem in the past as I am having now.

Firewire or USB hard drive for recording
Hi all. I've used Logic 7.0, with a PowerBook G4 1.33 Ghz (1.25 Gb RAM) for the past two+ years to do some simple recording, usually 1 - 2 tracks at a time, maybe a total of 10 -12 tracks when complete. I've used an external firewire hard drive (Lacie 7200 rpm, 250 Gb) with no problems. I've used both USB (Lexicon) and Firewire (Firepod) audio interfaces.

PCMCIA Firewire
Anyone have a good recommendation for a good one?
Obviously the TI chipset would be preferred, but since viewing the board is impractical, it's tough to tell which one.
Cheers -
J.

Rosetta 200 vs. . M-Audio FireWire 410
Greetings!
I'm currently using M-Audio FireWire 410 as the audio interface as well as A/D converter with my MacBook Pro.
In a couple of days I'll begin using Mac Pro in place of MacBook Pro.
