Acoustic Guitar String Squeak Suppression
Hi,
I just recorded a great Acoustic Guitar track that has string squeaks that I want to try and calm down. Maybe thru a deEsser or EQ..Any helpful suggestions rather than re recording?
Thanks,

TRS and guitar cables
I've completed most of the studio and we recorded some stuff the other day. Drums came out sounding great. Problem is with the guitars.
We always got good recording out of our guitars when we had everything in the same room. This time, with the guitar in the seperate room, it just sounded like crap.

Help me clean up this guitar line - "wooshing"?
I recorded a guitar line directly from my acoustic's LR Baggs pickup. In the mix I've applied compression, Amplitube for distortion, and EQ. The song as a whole has not been the most spectacular mix, but it's getting there and I like the way the guitar fits in as it is. Unfortunately, there's this low end "wooshing" that happens every time I fret on for the second and third notes of each bar.
Recording acoustic rythm guitars without too much trouble
Is in fact possible ;) But not with an acoustic guitar! Just take your electric guitar, place a microphone close in front of your strings, the closer to the point where you hit the strings, the better (I used a SM57 with some pretty convincing results), set your amplifier on a clean sound and start recording!
Replacement Valves - Guitar & Bass
Hi guys
I want to replace the valves in a Behringer 1952 that I have. I will use one channel to compress bass and the other for guitar.
Any sugestions on what tubes I should be looking at?
Thanks
Kuzan

Which one of these two mic for acoustic guitars?
Shure SM81----orPeluso CEMC6?
Example guitar track.
Hey,
I just wonder if anybody would be willing to post a link or send me a sample of a recorded guitar track they've done (without any mixing on it.. just the raw sample) so I can see what the first capture sounds like before it's mixed..

Few thoughts on a preamp for electro-acoustic guitar
Hi there.
I'm currently on a RME HDSP 9632 using only the analog in's and sp/dif out (at the moment).
I record only guitar, both electric and electro-acoustic.
However, I find the input from the El-acoustic to be a tad too low for an effective recording, hence the topic/subject of this post.
How to get rid of fuzzy guitar distortion
Hey, I don't know if this has been asked before, I couldn't find it, so anyway..
I've been recording guitars for a while now, but when it comes to distortion, or overdrived guitars my sound always seems to become a big fuzzy mass of distorted guitars without definition or whatsoever. I doubletrack most of my guitars, and most of the time I record with 2 mics.
