I'm borrowing a Trident S20 for a few weeks, and I just hooked it up. I've been comparing it to my Brick and my Tascam FW1884 pres, and I actually think it's pretty good.

Does anyone have any possible suggestion?

How come a noisy mouse might be?

'it's not usb any longer, I tried that, and it obviously wasn't the "cause" of my noisy staticky sounding mouse.
(ITS ALMOST JUST LIKE CHANGING THE DIAL ON AN AM RADIO!)
AS I "MOVE" MY MOUSE, while a recorded file "plays", the noise is terrible!

Ok I've got a dilemma. I have a Tascam FW-1884 which can now be used as a control surface for Pro Tools LE (with HUI emulation). I can use the pre's on my FW-1884 and send them through ADAT optical into a Digi 002 rack. Now. it would be nice to have 4 more pre's that the 002 would bring to the table. I'd have another piece of software to screw with, and the Pro Tools name on my gear list.

hey I have seen singers(James Hetfield of Metallica) in the studio tracking vocal takes without head phones and I want to do thid for my singer as well. he says the phones make him a little more uptight and to have a set of speakers playing at him would make it feel more like the band is in the room with him.

I had the 824s for a while and didnt like them the least bit i could not get the mixes translating very well. This was disasterous for distributed material. I now use the event TR-6 and a super highend Amphion Argon2 minimonitor with a Bryston 3bsst amp this setup has really showed up flaws I'm my recordings and in commercialy released CDs.

...I can't find any product like the MIDI foot controller (FCB 1010). I used to have a Lake Butler MIDIgater, which is kind of the same thing.

Why do you very pro mastering guys hate multiband compression so much?

I am doing junior mastering and all I can do is upgrade to the next step which is Waves Master bundle, etc etc.

Also, why are the high mids the most colored after multiband compression? Yes, I have tested it with other sources and with different mixing engineers.

OK everyone tell me why I shouldnt go. 13 months and i can have an associates and be way further down the road to doing something in the "industry" ( i know i won't know sh*t...that it takes real world experience but its a start).
