Static from headphones going into AD!
My headphones are connected to a Samson headphone amp. The headphones can pick up static easily and it goes right into the AD of my RME multiface! The headphone amp is hooked through the output of the multiface. Any corrections to this? New headphone amp. I noticed this headphone amp does not have a ground.
Any help is appreciated. THANKS.

Headphone distribution
So what's everybody using to distribute their headphone mixes? Right now I have a Behringer headphone amp, and I really don't like the sound quality.
Any suggestions on an upgrade to use with a Digidesign 002?

AKG headphones usually out of "absolute phase"
Just wanted to remind folks about a problem I encountered with AKG headphones years ago. The entire AKG headphone line is out of "absolute phase" with the rest of the world. This can be easily verified by placing one headphone cup over your mic and then sending a 1khz test tone from your daw to it and then record it.

More Me Headphones comments. .
Just in case you are considering some cheap headphones for tracking:
I ordered 2 pair of More Me headphones on Monday. got them today. awesome...really fast turn around time! They sound like poop, lack isolation, but are loud as hell and I don't mind a pissed off guitar player throwing these instead of my Sennheiser headphones.

isolation headphones
hi, all, I'm thinking about getting some isolation heaphones as I record in one fairly large room. If they really do cut out all external sound and just let you hear the monitor signal that'd be brilliant. But do they really work that well? How much external sound can they cut out? Can you be in a room with loud guitar drums etc and only hear through the desk?

How to split audio line out to power amp and headphones?
Currently the audio line out of my Audiophile 2496 goes directly to my power amp and monitors. I want to add a headphone amp so I have the option of listening to either the headphones or monitors. Is a simple A/B box all I need? (I recall seeing these at radio shack). Or is there a more appropriate solution.

new tracking headphone option
Hey guy/gals I have found a new inexpensive tracking headphone option. It is avialable at your local radioshack, for those of you in the states, they are $21.99, have a 1/4in stereo jack with a coiled cord and comes with the 1/4in to 1/8in adapter. It has a freq. response of 20-20khz and an imp.
