Monitoring headphones
Hi all
I was just wondering what the favourite headphones are for monitoring on this part of the site. I asked about Sennheiser 280s elsewhere, but that's really for close-mic'ed vocalists.
I use Grado headphones, and I'm curious about other people's choices for location phones. I'm thinking of upgrading to more expensive Grado phones, or the Sennheiser HD650.

headphones
I'm looking for some good headphones for some nighttime "editing"
I find that most cans just kill my ears after 45 mins of listening to em (loud or not)
I need some flat, non- harrasing phones so i can do it for a few hours a night.
i realise that mixing is a big no-no but i find for editing vocals it works well. It's just my ears get tired too easy.
thanks

headphone specs
why do headphones come in different ohm ratings?does that make some louder than others?what is the mW rating for?how much volume they can handle? and the db spl rating? is that how much signal they can handle before they distort?whats specs should i be lookin at for tracking?do you need to know your mixer specs when choosing a set of headphones?

headphone sends on monitor controlers
hi guys, i've been considering the practical things in the studio i'm setting up, and have come to wonder about how to get (at least 2) headphone mixes out of my monitor controller (which may be a PreSonus central station or a Crane Song avocet).

Really good isolation headphones
What's a pair of headphones that has really good isolation and sound quality? Like sit placing a mic right in front of a screaming half-stack and be able to hear the mic placement kind of isolation. Right now I have Sony MDR-V600, Sony MDR-V900 and Sony MDR-7506. Thank you

Hey guys...newbie here. headphone monitoring question
Hi all...I just put a project studio together and it's not quite complete but it is in the stage that I can get to work IF I knew what the heck I was doing.
Brief rundown.
Headphone noise bleed into recording...
Lately I've been having a hard time controlling the bleed from my headphones into my recording mix. I like to put a live monitor into the guitar players headphone mix along with a click-track metronome.
