I'm looking for an interface that'll allow me to record- lets say a drum track-
and be able to see each individual mic as a track on my computer screen (i'm using Ntrack) and be able to raise and lower the volume and pans of multiple tracks with this interface
Would that have to be a midi interface?

I have a budget of under 400

I've been a songwriter for the past 3 years and I'm finally getting interested in a simple home recording studio. I've already picked out my mics, MXL 990 for vocals and MXL993 for acoustic instruments. Now here's where I have a problem, I need a decent interface. I've been looking at the Lexicon Omega, PreSonus Firebox, Focusrite Saffire, and the Focusrite Saffire LE.

Hello all, I'm setting up a DAW, and I need to know.. what's the best audio interface I can get for $300? I'm looking at the firebox, but i'm seeing reviews that complain that the preamp on it is junk. I'm also looking at the M-Audio Firewire 410... Can anyone help me?

Well, I've changed my mind on getting a laptop...I think I'm going to go with a rack mount computer from sonica labs. Do they make specific rack cases for a computer system - for the rack tower, monitor and keyboard, etc?

I'm planning on getting a laptop for school in the fall and ive been told you cant upgrade the soundcards or anything.
I'm using the Behringer eurorack FX mixer with the nady drum mic kit.

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get your advice on trying to get my xenyx 802 mixer into a USB compatible system.

I currently run my xenyx 802 through my pod xt live so that my macbook can recognize my mixer.

I am going away to college and I was hoping to purchase an audio interface to bring with me. I need this interface for recording guitar demos. Nothing major, I'm looking for something somewhat portable. I don't really know what to look for. I am running Sonar 6 on Windows Vista and I was hoping to spend around $600.
